WebThe new ligand tris{2-[(p-nitrophenylmethyl)amino]ethyl}amine (L) was synthesized from tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (TREN) and p-nitrobenzaldehyde. With zinc halides it forms the complexes [L·ZnCl]Cl and [L·ZnBr]Br. Its reactions with zinc nitrate and zinc perchlorate yield the aqua complexes [L·Zn(OH2)](NO3)2 and [L·Zn(OH2)](ClO4)2. WebTris (2-aminoethyl)amine (6 mL, 40 mmol) was dissolved in 50 mL DCM and cooled in an ice bath. A solution of Boc anhydride (1.09 g, 5 mmol) in 20 mL DCM was added dropwise, followed by dropwise addition of triethylamine (0.7 mL, 5 mmol) in 20 mL DCM. The reaction was warmed up to room temperature slowly and stirred overnight.
