our history
In 2004, after 5 years of college as an English major, Molly Bravo changed her focus and enrolled in the California Culinary Academy. She worked as a private chef part time while attending the prestigious school. She immersed herself in the culinary culture of San Francisco, experienced fine dining, street taco stands and got a taste of the night life. In 2007, Bravo traveled to Hilton Head Island, SC to learn low country cuisine and came back in 2008 to start Organicopia.
In 2008 Organicopia was imagined and created. Starting as an in home private chef, Bravo cooked for busy families with no time to shop or prepare nutritious meals for dinner. Over time, she became known for her warm hospitality and genuine love of her craft. As a boutique style catering co. Organicopia is now known best for multi course food/wine pairings with complete customization of menu's.
In 2015 Chef Molly Bravo was approached by FoodyTV to host a cooking and lifestyle show. She flew out to New York in July, shot Organicopia's pilot episode and by October Organicopia was picked up for it's first season.
"My hope is that Organicopia: The Total Organic Experience is going to inspire people to get back to their roots.... doing things the way our grandparents used to do things.... canning, fermenting and making everything from scratch- like building a garden in your backyard and remembering how to slow down and enjoy a home cooked meal with family and loved ones..." Say's Bravo.
Coming full circle to what's happening now, Organicopia just filmed our first season in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains and is currently looking for sponsorship for Season 2 which will begin filming in early October, 2016.
