There's lots going on here in the Organicopia kitchen! Last week, my husband and I found out we are having a baby boy in June. We couldn't be happier- with anticipation of decorating the baby's room, the name, imagining what this sweet little guy is going to be like and daydreaming about our future family.
Pregnancy is a metamorphasis! I went from avidly working out with heavy weights to not having the energy to lift a finger, let alone walk to get the mail. I went from loving my wine to not even tasting a drop of alcohol. And I went from eating clean to shoveling bread and crackers into my mouth like a squirrel storing nuts for the winter. The first three months I was asleep everyday by 3:30 or 4 pm at the latest, not even stirring until 6 or 7 am. Everyday felt like a hangover, I felt polluted, bloated and dirty on the inside. Amazingly, my body CRAVED health.
I wanted vitamins, I wanted to juice everyday, I wanted big, fresh, crisp salads and lean proteins. I craved brown rice and lots of home made soups and bone broths. This little baby tells me what he wants. He wants to be healthy.
Now that I've made it out of the gauntlet and into the 2nd trimester of bliss I'm super focused on clean living, re-incorporating exercise into my daily routine and nourishing my mind, body AND spirit with meditation, real food and movement.
I've got big plans for this sweet little baby. He won't be a gerber baby, he'll be eating home made baby foods. I can't wait to share my recipes and experiences of motherhood with you. Thanks so much for being a part of this journey and being a part of the Organicopia Family.
